This hotel, the old Grosvenor Hotel in South Kensington was purchased by the client and completely remodelled into a modern boutique hotel, renamed the Ampersand.

Comprising 111 rooms my task on this job was firstly a full remeasure of the whole hotel since no accurate BoQ was in place as originally the project was for only a partial restructuring. As the works were already in progress when the extent of the works was enlarged, the measure of the actual works was contentious and required accuracy. Following this, the pricing of variation orders as well as the cost reporting on various subcontractors was also part of my duties. The project finished on time and SISK decided to retain my services for other works, namely to help with their ongoing project at The Shard, relating to the Shangri-La Hotel
