You’ve probably heard by now that the 5 people aboard the mini-sub that people with more money than sense use to go and see the wreck of the Titanic has gone missing.
You’ve probably seen the impassioned statements from the crew of the boat that the mini-sub gets launched from and how they are saying to “stay positive” because they are. Add exclamation mark here (TM).
Here is a bit of reality concerning this $250,000 per ticket mini-sub “adventure” ride, you probably haven’t heard so much about.

For some reason, this submarine and its 5 passengers has gone missing while touring the titanic wreckage.
It only has 40 hours of air remaining. For $250.000 per passenger fee, the submarine does not include an emergency beacon of any kind. Even if they could surface the hatches are bolted in from the outside and couldn’t get air if they wanted to.
Last time the sub went missing for 5 hours, a passenger stated that company turned off the ship’s internet so no one could post about it. They also fired an employee who complained that the sub was not safe.

I did have repetitive dreams for years of being trapped in some weird building or pyramid and having to squeeze myself into long dusty tunnels where you could get stuck to try and get out.
And I also suffer from sleep apnea due to a badly deviated septum after breaking my nose four times (2 accidents, 2 didn’t duck a punch fast enough), even so I have spelunked in various caves out of curiosity and gone deeper than most when people tapped out due to claustrophobia. I wouldn’t say I am claustrophobic, but I am not NOT claustrophobic either if you get my meaning.
Well, long before this was news you would not have been able to get me to go into that tin-can deathtrap if you paid me $250,000 dollars.
It’s a nightmarishly way to die.
I pray for the people in that sub and that a miracle happens to save them, and if not, that their death was mercifully quick and not the drawn out horror it can be.
UPDATE: I wonder if this may have had an effect too…
