Lies in the destruction of the very basic concepts of Logic (which all normal humans are born with an intrinsic base-level understanding of, as evidenced by small children as they learn language and the rules (often arbitrary) of life around them), and the obvious but increasingly apparently “magical” idea that there is such a thing as objective reality.
If you are “unsure” that running into a brick wall will hurt every single time, you are functionally a moron. If you then also do not posses the brain-power or skill to conclude that running into a wall 100 times will NOT yield a different result on the 101st time, you are beyond help.
This category of person is now, the vast majority of humans walking the Earth.
And it hasn’t got much to do with IQ. There are scores of third worlders that are quite adept at navigating the world we are becoming, quite more effectively than Harvard educated daddy’s boys with hedge funds.
I mention this because in case on reading the sedevacantist position, say, or anything else really, you find yourself experiencing something like this quote below, you need to take cognisance of the fact that you need to learn basic logic and the concept of objective reality.
I read it and it seemed so obviously correct, so perfect, that I could barely bring myself to bother to search out rebuttals.
And then I read the rebuttals, and they were so obviously correct, so devastating, that I couldn’t believe I had ever been so dumb as to believe [insert author here] .
And then I read the rebuttals to the rebuttals, and they were so obviously correct that I felt silly for ever doubting.
And so on for several more iterations, until the labyrinth of doubt seemed inescapable.
